Tineke, 69 years, beloved wife of Gerlof de Jong, mother of Neeltje, Auke (France) and Liz (Kyle), grandmother of Olivia, Paige, Matthew and Abigail. Tineke passed away at the Souris Health Centre on March 5, 2025. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, Souris, on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Tineke, donations may be made to the Souris Hospital Palliative Care Fund c/o Prairie Mountain Health Box 10 Souris, Manitoba R0K 2C0 or to the Deleau Park c/o Deleau Community Club Box 1407 Souris, Manitoba R0K 2C0.

Tineke was a pillar in the Deleau Community for many many years with her volunteering at the picnics, community projects, other events & 1000’s of hours at the park.. A proud Wife, Mother & Grandma, & Friend to many, she always put others first, & never did you see her not smiling. Her wit & charm will be missed, however will never be forgotten. We will remember you at every card game & community function. Thank you Tineke for all you’ve done… rest easy my good friend & see you later on down the road.

Tineke was a true honest friend to all that know her. Our condolences to Gerlof, Neeltje, Auke, Liz and of the family. May she rest now , enjoy scrapboxing with her friends and tending to all the gardens and flowers

Sincere condolences to Gerlof and the de Jong family, I have enjoyed my friendship with Tineke this last six years… A lovely lady you will be missed by many. I enjoyed our daily talks almost every day and teaching me how to crochet. You were a wonderful friend. I’m going to miss you ❤️.

Door het heengaan van Tieneke wordt de maand maart voor altijd een gedenkwaardige maand. Meer dan 50 jaar tezamen opgetrokken en lief en leed met elkaar gedeeld in voor en tegenspoed en dan komt dit verlies hard aan. Dat went nooit. De herinnering is wat blijft. Weet je ook op afstand gesteund in deze moeilijke periode. We leven mee. Gecondoleerd en veel sterkte voor nu en de komende tijd. De vriendengroep van weleer wordt steeds kleiner. Joke Riedstra en al lang geleden overleden en Trienke, Klaas en Ellie zijn ook al overleden.
