Carol, 72 years, beloved wife of Don Kohut, mother of Bridget and Donna, stepmother of Michael, Jeff and the late Steven. Carol passed away in the Souris Health Centre on November 8, 2025. Funeral service will be held at Kowalchuk’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery. In memory of Carol, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or to a charity of your choice.

My sincere condolences to Carol’s family and friends. We attended elementary school in Carievale. Carol and her daughter’s were good neighbours to my mum. My grandma Edna Taylor would visit the Quantrill family often as they lived close by and the Shanks-Quantrill families were farm neighbours in the Empire district many years ago.
