  7. Thinking of the families during this sad time. I have met all three daughters of Phyllis and they are gems. I’m sure they take after their beautiful Mama. Sending sincere sympathies to all. Take care, Cheryl, Pam & Lisa.

  8. To Cheryl. Pam and Lisa. We are thinking of you all as we remember your Mom. She was always very kind and welcoming to us when we were back visiting in Manitoba. She was a wonderful sister to Aunt Margaret.

  9. Our condolences to all of Phyllis’s family, and including Don her brother. Miss Jasper taught me grade one in Hartney School. I fondly remember that year, and several Christmases when she and her sister Margaret (and I think their cousin Mary Graham) kindly shared some gifts with Shirley, George & me. Our only gifts in those days, so appreciated! Several years ago we had a lovely visit with Phyllis when we visited Hartney Long Term Care, met her as she visited, and took her for great pizza night at the then Isabey’s Red Door Cafe. Blessings to all! Edith (Morden) Tarbet, Barrhead, AB

  10. To the Elder family:

I had the privilege of teaching the Elder children at Hartney School many years ago. I am saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. Treasure all the beautiful memories you have made over the years. My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you …

  12. First – condolences to you all, and then some memories.
It was a pleasure to serve at your parents’ wedding dinner. I remember how beautiful they both were. Thee was a summer when a couple of you were very little that I worked for Phyllis, mostly cleaning… I recall the steep steps to the upstairs in the old house.
Later your Mom was always so supportive of your Dad’s love of the John Deere…she had her own collection of the toy ones.
Always great to see them at the Dixon Clan reunions.
    Always a lady and kind.

  13. To all of Phyllis family, thinking of you at this difficult time of Phyllis passing. She was an interesting lady with a kind heart. Jim Murray & Marlene Fitzsimmons

  15. Cheryl, Pam, Lisa and families.
Sorry I wont be able to attend your moms funeral today but I send you all my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your mother and grandmother. She was such a kind, caring and accommodating lady. I remember riding on the school bus and pulling into the Elder yard to pick you up and Brent too and admiring all that nice green equipment your family always had around there and eventually purchasing your 8630 with the blade on it from your mom. She was always genuinely interested in what and how everyone was doing. Cherish your memories and remember the good times. Thinking of you all.

We certainly remember the great John Deere tractor shows… Ron was thrilled when he got to drive one at the Killarney show.
