Lorraine Ballantyne/Sutton/Dubyna
A Norwood “classic” has been laid to rest. Lorraine has returned to her Creator November 15, 2023 in her 93rd year of life. Lorraine was the mother of Laurie Sutton and the late Heather York. Grandmother to Chanlie Kozak, Brandon Sutton, Todd, Nicole and Kea York.
As per Lorraine’s wishes, cremation without a service has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Souris Beautification Fund c/o Municipality of Souris-Glenwood Box 518 Souris, Manitoba R0K 2C0 or to the Souris –Glenwood Foundation Box 518 Souris, Manitoba R0K 2C0.
Gone but certainly not forgotten.

I had a really nice visit with Lorraine last week. She was such a sweet lady, tiny but mighty too. She had overcome so many obsticals over time, and was always a good friend. She will be missed. Rest in Peace Lorraine, you lived a good life. Mary Ann Carlisle
I had the pleasure of assisting Lorraine occasionally in my job at the Souris Hotel. She was always polite, sharp and very funny. I will miss her and may you rest in peace Lorraine.
