McCulloch, Barbara Ann

Barb McCullogh 1968-2021

Barb McCullogh was born in Souris, Manitoba on January 31, 1968 to Bruce and Mary Ann Carlisle. She passed away July 7, 2021 in Souris, Manitoba.

Barb had worked at the Souris Personal Care Home for over 30 years and retired three years ago. Her love of the outdoors for fun and working on her father’s farm with him were what she loved. Storm chasing with Portage Storm Chasers was her real thrill.

Taken by cancer at age 53, has put an end to a special woman who is going to be missed by her loving family and friends. She was tough, but fair and if you knew her, you knew she was the best person to have as a friend.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, and two aunts (Donna and Joanne).

Barb has left to mourn and to hold dear of the wonderful memories that we had with her, parents Bruce and Mary Ann; her four children Terri McCullogh, Acacia McCullogh, Bobby Ironman, and Charlene Ironman; twelve grandchildren who will really miss their Grandma Barb; her sister Trish Carlisle; brothers William Carlisle and Mark [Allison] Carlisle; niece Emily, and her many dear friends and relatives.

A big thank you for the cards, flowers, meals and words of condolence.

A private graveside funeral service was held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery. In memory of Barb, donations may be made to the Manitoba Storm Chasers 154 Second Street NW, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba R1N 2A6 or the Souris Hospital Palliative Care Fund c/o Prairie Mountain Health Box 10 Souris, Manitoba R0K 2C0.

I worked with her when I first started at the hospital and yes she was a very hard worker and never complained.
In the later years I didn’t see her too much because of her love to work night shifts and mine to work mornings but we would cross paths coming and going and she always had a smile.
Rest easy Barb. Your work here on earth is done.

It did not matter how cold it was, she dressed for the weather and got it done! Our sympathy and caring thoughts as you bid farewell to someone just too young.
