Moore, Kenneth Arnold

Moore: Kenneth Arnold Moore 1948 – 2019

Ken passed away peacefully on Friday December 20, 2019 with family at his side at the Souris Personal Care Home. He was 71 years old.

Ken was born February 29th 1948, (one of a set of twins) in Glenboro, Manitoba.

Ken married Ardeth Templeton April 12th 1969. Together they raised four children while living in Brandon, dad began working for Bradley sand and gravel as a truck driver and loader operator and running the wash Plant. He continued to work for wheat City concrete when they purchase the business. He retired after 30 years. Ken lost his “Little Turtle Dove” Ardeth in 2015 and his daughter Tammy in 2009.

He was also predeceased by his parents Orval and Bertha Moore, his siblings Maureen Baker, Carol Boilard, his Twin Terry Moore & Bob Moore.

Ken leaves to mourn his family: son; Kelvin (Shelley) Moore and grandson Braydon (Devan) Rands and great granddaughter Lennie, grandson Preston Moore and grandson Landon Moore. Daughter; Tracey Templeton and grandaughter Ashley and greatgrandson Aaiden. Daughter; Charlotte (Frank) Grant and grandson Sean Moore and great granddaughters Evelynn and Elektra, grandson Matthew Moore and granddaughter Madison Moore as well as his in-laws and nieces and nephews and many friends.

Dad and mom moved to Souris in 1991 where they made many friends and always had someone popping in. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and him and Mom would often go to Stockton and spend quiet days fishing with family or friends. They spent many weekends in Roseisle with longtime friends John and Eunice Beckett visiting and playing cards or board games until all hours of the night and then up early so he and John could get out early to take the boat out on the lake. Always lots of fun and laughs when the two families got together. He has left behind many good memories for all that knew him.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr Cram, and all the Nurses, Healthcare Aids and Hair Dressers (dad was finicky about his hair lol) for taking such great care of our Dad during his time at the PCH. Thanks to those who have sent their thoughts and Prayers over the past couple of weeks.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Paul’s United Church in Souris Manitoba and interment in the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery. In memory of Ken donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
