LAUREEN VICTORIA NASH
July 19, 1951 – October 9, 2024
Beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Laureen Nash.
Laureen was born in Virden to Stewart and Jennie Nash. At the age of two a fever caused her to suffer a stroke, and she lived her life with physical and cognitive challenges. She grew up the eldest of six children on the family farm near Reston, moving to Boissevain as an adult and enjoying the programs of Prairie Partners. Laureen lived her life with strength, a deep love of family and
friends, a strong, social personality that loved people and visiting, always remembering names, birthdays and special events. She took great joy and comfort in music that she loved to share.
She will be greatly missed by brothers, Marvin (Pat) Nash, Glenn (Gail) Nash, sisters Darlene (Scot) Devlin, Marla (Colin) Malmstrom and her many nieces, nephews and great nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Stewart and Jennie Nash and her sister, Brenda Nash.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Prairie Partners for their work and care which gave Laureen a safe, active life. The family also wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Evergreen Place PCH for their loving environment, care and support.
If family or friends so desire, a donation in Laureen’s name may be made to the Evergreen Place Activities Program, Box 899, Boissevain, Manitoba R0K 0E0.
Hope you are dancing to your favorite music. Love you Laureen!
Condolences to her family. Laureen was a lovely woman who always greeted me by name every time I went to visit my father. She loved getting nice dresses & jewelry, ABBA and talking about her family. She will be missed at Evergreen by her many friends. RIP Laureen.
I have nursed Laureen several times over her years in Boissevain. She was a beautiful soul and had a wonderful memory. She loved her family and was so proud to talk about them. We will dearly miss her as you her family will. Deepest sympathies to all.
Marvin, Glenn, Darlene, and Marla and families,
My sincere sympathy to all of you in the loss of Laureen.
I have many fond memories of Laureen as both of our families grew up along the Pipestone Creek. Visits back and forth, watching t.v. at our house on Saturday nights, all of us playing together outside…….. Laureen being the oldest was always watching out for the younger ones.
Cherish those memories
From-Pat McKay (nee Mayberry)
