It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan Alfred James Revet on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ryan passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Ryan was born on July 31, 2003 in Brandon, Manitoba. He resided in Brandon his entire life with his parents and brother. Ryan attended Waverly Park School and Neelin High School, graduating in June, 2021. He was employed at Heritage Co-op in Brandon until he could no longer work due to illness.
An avid dog-lover from the start, Ryan desired a career working with dogs and dreamed of one day owning his own dog daycare. Ryan loved gaming, camping and living in the moment. He cherished time spent with family and friends. He will be forever remembered for his bravery, selflessness and unshakeable faith in his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Gerard and Angela Revet, brother Adam Revet, grandparents Marvin and Mildred Gebauer, grandmother Agnes Revet along with many cousins, aunts and uncles. He is reunited with his grandpa, Alfred Revet and great-grandmother, Emily Dodds.
The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr Ishani Samarasena, Dr Jeffrey Graham, Dr David Kristjanson and the incredible nursing staff at the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre. Their excellent care was a blessing to Ryan and his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church – 3881 Park Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.

The times I met Ryan; he lit up the room with his smile and kindness. Gone far too young but I am sure made the best out of his 19 years. He was lucky to call you Mom and Dad; two of the kindest people I know. Hold memories close; he is always with you. Rest Peacefully Sweet Soul!

I was shocked and saddened to read about Ryan’s passing. I first met Ryan at Neelin High School as I was employed there as an Educational Assistant. He was polite, well mannered, with a passion for computers and reading. I also had an opportunity to spend some time with him one summer, and to meet his family. I remember enjoying the time I spend with Ryan, he was easygoing and eager to try new things. I enjoyed our outings together. My condolences to his parents, younger brother, and extended family.
