With his wife by his side and family close by Tom Robbins passed away peacefully in the early hours of May 15, 2017 in Souris Health Center.
Tom will be lovingly and forever cherished by his wife of 62 years Margie (Dodds) and his children, Pam (Kris King), Kathy (Cyril Druwe), Gord, Rick (Colleen), Gary (Pam), 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, his big brother Ken his wife May, numerous nieces and nephews, brother in-law Doug
Denbow – Garth Norman, 62 years, father of Jill, April and Trissten, brother of Audrey and Colleen, son of the late Ross & Vivian Denbow, passed away accidentally at his residence in the Municipality of Sifton, Manitoba on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Graveside funeral service for family and friends was held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery, Souris, Manitoba on Friday, May 12, 2017.
McCulloch: William James. Jim was born April 26, 1934,in Souris, Manitoba. The only son of William Bruce and Amelia Elisabeth (Medlicott) McCulloch. Jim was raised in the Lily District where he received his first eight grades of education at the Lily School. Following this he went to Elgin Consolidated high school and to the University of Manitoba, receiving his diploma in Agriculture in 1954. He then worked on the farm with his parents until 1969 when his parents retired to Hartney. He married
Davies: Olive Gwendoline. Beloved mother and grandmother, Olive Davies, passed away on April 20, 2017 at the age of 93. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marilyn Willoughby (Don), Jennifer Biefer (Stephen) as well as her grandchildren, Jocelyn and Ryan Willoughby and Kristen, David and Michelle Biefer. Olive was predeceased by her husband, Ernest in 1988 and her son, Robert, in 1994.

MARGARET JEAN JANZ (nee Witt) – passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017. Margie was born December 26, 1920 to William and Martha Witt of Hartney. Margie took all her schooling in Hartney. From 1939 to 1940 she attended Brandon Normal School and taught for six years. She joined the Bank of Montreal at Hartney July 26, 1946 – October 31, 1947.
Margie married Mark Englert Janz (Mannie) of Souris on November 25, 1947 at St. Augustine’s Church in Brandon. On September 27, 1949 they welcomed
Leskiw – Ernest Peter, 82 years, beloved husband of Annette Leskiw, father of Robert, and the late Dan in 1997 and the late John in 2015, passed away in the Souris Personal Care Home on Monday, April 10, 2017. By Ernie’s request there will be no funeral service. In memory of Ernie, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society.
STEWART: KAREN DOREEN
Karen Stewart (nee: Schultz), a loving wife, mother and Nana, died unexpectedly on April 7th, 2017 at the age of 61 in her home in Hartney, Manitoba. Karen is survived by her husband Wilf; her children Christopher, Michael and Caitlin, daughter in law Kim, grandchildren Deegan, Mckaela and Katie, and her brother Allan. Karen is predeceased by her mother Deloris.
Karen was born in Winnipeg on September 2nd, 1955. She graduated high school in Winnipeg at
Tymkiw – Suzy, 48 years, beloved mother of Nicholas, Dallas and Stephanie, passed away in the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, April 2, 2017. A service to celebrate Suzy’s life was held at Kowalchuk’s Funeral Chapel, Souris, Manitoba on Saturday, April 8, 2017. In memory of Suzy, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
Dooley –Frances Joan Dooley (nee Denbow) born in Deleau, Manitoba on November 1, 1934, widow of John Hyacinth Dooley. Daughter of Andrew and Harriet Denbow passed away peacefully at the Souris Personal Care Home.
Survived by sons: Frank (Sandy), Doug (Marilyn) and Will (Sharla). Grandchildren: Chris (Dessa), Jason (Ashley), David, Taylor, Kellen and Kensie Great grandchildren: Peter, Coral, Kaleb, Lochlainn.
John and Joan were married May 9, 1958 and resided in Souris.

Olmsted: Irene Mary (Abrey), passed away peacefully on March 22, 2017 at the Hartney Community Health Centre at the age of 96 years. Irene was born December 22, 1920 to Olive (Saban) and Fred Abrey, the youngest of four children. She received her education at Deleau School, then St. Boniface School of Nursing, graduating July 27, 1942 with her RN. She nursed in Winnipeg, Carberry, Brandon and other rural hospitals.
Irene married Wellington (Wally) George Olmsted in 1944. Their only child,
