McCulloch: William James. Jim was born April 26, 1934,in Souris, Manitoba. The only son of William Bruce and Amelia Elisabeth (Medlicott) McCulloch. Jim was raised in the Lily District where he received his first eight grades of education at the Lily School. Following this he went to Elgin Consolidated high school and to the University of Manitoba, receiving his diploma in Agriculture in 1954. MARGARET JEAN JANZ (nee Witt) – passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017. Margie was born December 26, 1920 to William and Martha Witt of Hartney. Margie took all her schooling in Hartney. From 1939 to 1940 she attended Brandon Normal School and taught for six years.  She joined the Bank of Montreal at Hartney July 26, 1946 – October 31, 1947.

Dooley –Frances Joan Dooley (nee Denbow) born in Deleau, Manitoba on November 1, 1934, widow of John Hyacinth Dooley. Daughter of Andrew and Harriet Denbow passed away peacefully at the Souris Personal Care Home.

Survived by sons: Frank (Sandy), Doug (Marilyn) and Will (Sharla). Grandchildren: Chris (Dessa), Jason (Ashley), David, Taylor, Kellen and Kensie Great grandchildren: Peter, Coral, Kaleb, Lochlainn.

Olmsted, Irene Mary

Olmsted: Irene Mary (Abrey), passed away peacefully on March 22, 2017 at the Hartney Community Health Centre at the age of 96 years. Irene was born December 22, 1920 to Olive (Saban) and Fred Abrey, the youngest of four children. She received her education at Deleau School, then St. Boniface School of Nursing, graduating July 27, 1942 with her RN. She nursed in Winnipeg, Carberry, Brandon and other rural hospitals.
