Dorothy was born on September 1, 1929 in Deloraine, Manitoba to her parents Christina and Howard Swerdfeger. Along with her brother Austin, the family lived on the farm at Lauder, Manitoba. Hrabarchuk: Matt, beloved husband of the late Florence, passed away peacefully in the Souris Health Centre on July 20, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Matt was born at Arran, Saskatchewan on November 5, 1929. After graduating from Grade 12, he moved to Brandon in July 1948. Matt worked at Breen Motors from July to October and then obtained employment at the Brandon Hospital for Mental Diseases in November 1948. Robson, Florence Irene
Robson, Florence Irene — Born September 8, 1928 at Boissevain, first child of Robert John and Sarah Catherine (nee Brownlee) McCallum. Florence died following a very brief time at Souris Health Centre on June 22, 2017. She lived her life fully; she was always interested in people, she continued to learn, and she resided at her own home on the farm near Deleau, Manitoba.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, by her brothers-in-law Robert Galbraith, Dick Mason, and Bob Dahlby;
Atkins, Colin George
June 24, 1931-June 20, 2017 Colin George Atkins was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England to Harry and Helena Atkins.
At age 11, Colin began attending Leeds Grammar School, a boarding school for boys. During WW11, the students were moved out to the countryside to keep them safe from bombing.
Between the ages of 18 and 20, he served with the British army.
At the age of 20 he immigrated to Canada. He would spend his first year in Toronto and later move on to Vancouver.
