Ruth was a caring, kind and friendly lady. She enjoyed and was a strong player in floor hockey and won several medals for her participation in the sport. Special Olympics alumni for many activities. Always smiling and ready for a hug. It’s been a long time since I was a cheerleading hugger for the Special Olympics, but I’ll always remember when Ruth cut in front of racers to get my hug. Hugs dear Ruth. R.I.P. Ruth
I always enjoyed coaching Ruth in Special O and loved her hugs. She always had such a positive attitude and will be greatly missed. Condolences to Ruth’s family, friends, and teammates.
I went to school in Elgin….and remember Ruth from our school days….I have run into her several times in Brandon over the years and had a little visit with her….she was so proud that she went to Whitehorse (I believe ) for the Special Olympics playing field hockey…quite a number of years ago…sending our condolences to her family…..
May you rest in peace, Ruth.
Ruth was a dear caring person. She never forgot a face. Always so happy to see people from Souris. Rest In Peace
I remember Ruth well, and the love she had for those around her! Thinking of Ruth, and of those people close to her who have provided care and friendship to her in recent times.
I went to school with Ruth when she came to Hartney. She would always say hi and/or greet me in the hallway with smile and a hug. As the years have come and gone since school days, I have never forgotten Ruth. Ruth had a gentle soul and a huge heart.
