Morris — Freda Mae, Freda Morris passed away on the morning of August 29, 2013 at the age of 88 at the Souris Personal Care Home. Freda will be lovingly remembered by her children: Eric, Peggy, Debra, Mary Lynn and Jacqueline. She was pre-deceased by one son, Jim. She will also be remembered fondly by her grandchildren: Erik (Kelly), Josh, Ben and Seth (Hume), Gavin, Miranda and Bryce (Johnson) and great grandchildren Chloe, Lief and Sedonna.
Freda was born in Unity, Saskatchewan on June 16, 1925 to Richard and Anne Swarbrick on the family farm. She is survived by three brothers and their families: Clifford, Lorne and Earl Swarbrick. She was also pre-deceased by three brothers and a sister: Allan, Glen, Ed and Betty.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Souris United Church hall for a time of fellowship and reminiscing on Monday, September 2 at 10:30 am. A viewing will be held at Kowalchuck’s Funeral Home at the same time for those wishing to pay their respects.
Everyone is welcome to attend a graveside service which will be held following the celebration of her life at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Moosimin, Saskatchewan at 1:00 pm Saskatchewan time.
The family wishes to thank all those that provided loving care to her at the Souris Personal Care Home as well as Dr. Stone. We are ever so grateful to the faithful visitors that came so regularly to make Freda’s life so full of friendship and care. God Bless you all.
