Stephenson — Dorothy (Dot), 83 years, beloved wife of the late Dave Stephenson, died in the Souris Health Centre, Souris, MB on Saturday, December 28, 2013. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. In memory of Dot, donations may be made to the Souris Railroad Museum Inc. c/o Town of Souris Box 518 Souris, MB R0K 2C0.

Chatting with Dot was a highlight of our many trips to the Souris Personal Care Home to visit Dad over the last eight months. I first saw her in the Souris Health Centre when Dad was admitted for tests and she was there as well. She was always friendly and had a quick response to any topic. She was a smart person. We always looked for her as we approached the building as she often ventured out doors for a cigarette – regardless of the weather. Although I did not know her when I lived in Souris as a child, I am glad I had the chance to know her now. My condolences to her family and friends. Helen Forrest
It is sad to hear about Aunt Dot passing away. My mother (Muriel) and I visited her this past summer. She was as sharp as a tack and had opinions on a multitude of subjects! I hadn’t seen her for a long time but she was exactly as I remembered… Godspeed, Aunt Dot.

I met dot on several occasions thru my mother, olive Davies, who is a resident in souris personal care. Mum enjoyed her and would put her on the phone to say hi to as she was walking by to go out for her smoke. Wonderful attitude, bless her!
