Swaenepoel: Linden, 32 years, beloved husband of Jai, father of Rhys, Clay and Esme, son of David and Linda, brother of Lindsay, passed away after a short battle with cancer at the Souris Health Centre on February 15, 2022. A celebration of Linden’s life was held at the Souris & Glenwood Community Hall on Saturday, March 5, 2022. In memory of Linden, donations may be made to the Souris Curling Club or to a local sports team in your community.

I had the privilege of teaching and coaching Linden which grew into a positive friendship. I was always impressed with Linden’s calmness, patience and how well he could articulately speak. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a hand or contribute in some way when needed. His efforts paved the way for future students at Souris School to be able to participate in rugby (sport) which provides so many positive life skills and more importantly guidance for youths who may need it the most. That will be a part of his legacy. I will miss him very much. Go well and rest easy my friend.

Some of my fondest memories were when he first started riding the school bus. We would sit together every morning. It was something I looked forward to. Although the ride was short, we had plenty of meaningful conversations. His spirit and kindness were unmatched. Will miss you Linden.
