Brandon: Isabel Ruth. April 12, 1944 – April 29, 2018. Daughter of the late Forrest and Doris (Reid) Brandon. She attended Souris School, graduating in 1963. Ruth went on to Winnipeg to school of Nursing, graduating in 1966. The north called and she was hired in Norway House where she worked for Indian Affairs. She returned to Winnipeg but soon moved to Vancouver and was employed by the Vancouver Police Department as a nurse for 30 years. Ruth returned to Souris upon retirement in 2000.

Bauche:  Joe, 86 years, beloved husband of the late Lainy Bauche, father of Daniel Bauche, Diane (Larry) Winters and Denise (Michael) Robson. Grandfather of Johnathan Robson,  Heather (Wayne) Nakonechny and their children Kenzie, Ava. A private family graveside service was held at the Deleau Cemetery. Betle:  Helen Marie Betle: March 12, 1938 – April 23, 2018 and Kenneth Garry Betle: June 17, 1938 – October 8, 2014, parents of Kirby Betle, Kim Driedger and Jamie Betle. Funeral service for Ken and Helen was held at Kowalchuk’s Funeral Chapel, Souris, Manitoba on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Interment in the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery. Brister: Isabelle passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Souris Personal Care Home, she was 94.

Isabelle was born on January 12, 1924 to Frank and Isabella Alcock. She was raised in the Millerway District and took her schooling in Elgin. She married Roy Brister of Elgin on July 4, 1945. Isabelle was active in the community and enjoyed playing the organ for many years in the Baptist Church. Isabelle was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with

Beverly Wayne Bowles of Souris, Manitoba passed away at Souris Hospital on February 24, 2017.  Wayne was born in Souris on November 14, 1938 to Allen and Reita Bowles. Wayne grew up on the family farm in the Riverview School District.  He completed his schooling in the Souris School.  At a very young age, he exhibited a love of animals and nature. William John Clair Brown – Passed away peacefully at Souris Personal Care Home on Saturday, January 7, 2017 with his wife Teresita by his side. Clair was born February 9, 1926 the eldest child of Stanley Arthur Brown and Jessie Grace Brown (Waterman) in Souris, Manitoba. He grew up in Souris living with his grandmother, Mrs. W.H. Brown. Roy Banks – It is with a deep sense of loss that the family of Roy Banks announces his passing on December 29, 2016 at the age of 87.
