KLIER: Ronald Wayne James passed away peacefully at Bren-Del-Win Lodge in Deloraine, Manitoba on June 7, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Ron was born in Souris, Manitoba on May 15, 1944.

Ron lived in Souris until he moved to Brandon where he and his beautiful wife June had two wonderful children. Ron got a job working in Brandon at BMHC and had worked there for 39 years as a Power Engineer.

Ron and family had a cabin at Oak Lake where they enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Phyllis Marion Carlisle on May 27, 2021, at the Souris Personal Care Home.

Phyllis was born Feb 23, 1939 to John and Jennet Sheane, in the farmhouse located in the RM of Archie, Willen MB. She was one of six siblings, three brothers and two sisters.

After attending Roselea School she moved to Souris as a teenager in 1955 to gain employment. There she met and married former husband Gerald Carlisle in 1957.

Margaret Janet Matheson was the first of two daughters born to George and Bertha Watkin of Brandon, Manitoba on June 20th, 1932.  She grew up in Brandon’s south end alongside her sister, Sandra, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.  Marg loved to tell stories about the hardships of growing up in the Dirty 30’s and during the Second World War, and how she was the same age or even older than a couple of her aunts and uncles (her mom was the eldest of an exceptionally large family).

Page, Myrtle Lily

Myrtle Lily Page, age 98 passed away peacefully on April 26, 2021 in Souris.

Myrtle was born June 8, 1922 on her parent’s farm in the Brandon Hills. While growing up there she attended Delton School. On March 25, 1944 she married Alfred (Fred) Page of Beresford, Manitoba. They farmed in the Brandon Hills and then south of Beresford.

Three daughters survive Myrtle: Frances (Don) Dodds, Eunice (Ed) Dewhurst, and Marjorie Page. Also surviving Myrtle are daughter-in-law Arlene Page, 11 grandchildren,
