
Margaret Janet Matheson was the first of two daughters born to George and Bertha Watkin of Brandon, Manitoba on June 20th, 1932. She grew up in Brandon’s south end alongside her sister, Sandra, and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Marg loved to tell stories about the hardships of growing up in the Dirty 30’s and during the Second World War, and how she was the same age or even older than a couple of her aunts and uncles (her mom was the eldest of an exceptionally large family).
Moorman: Rev. Melvin, 81 years, beloved husband of Jeanette Moorman, father of Linda, Brent and Brian, passed away in the Souris Hospital on Saturday, May 8, 2021. A graveside funeral service for family and friends will be held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Covid 19 protocols will be followed with all attending remaining in their vehicles and listening to the service via their radio. Lisitza: Kathy, 68 years, beloved wife of the late Larry Lisitza, mother of Jim and Kelly, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, April 10, 2021. A private family service will be held at a later date. In memory of Kathy, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
Dodds: E. Emily, beloved wife of the late Jim Dodds, mother of Don, Mildred, Janice and John, passed away at Fairview Personal Care Home on Friday, April 2, 2021, 14 days shy of her 100 birthday. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions a private family funeral service will be held at the Elgin United Church with interment in the Elgin Cemetery. In memory of Emily, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Groves: Neil, 85 years, father of Dan, Darcy and Morris, passed away in the Souris Health Centre on Monday, March 22, 2021. A graveside funeral service for family and friends was held at the Minto Cemetery on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. In memory of Neil, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Semeschuk: Julia Luba Semeschuk passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Fairview Personal Care Home in Brandon at the age of 92.
