Wismer: Grace, 85 years, beloved mother of Shawnna, Jeff, Stacey and the late Lance, passed away in the Souris Health Centre on Thursday, January 7, 2021. A private funeral service will be held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery at a later date. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Blair Woods of Elgin, MB. Blair passed away peacefully at the Souris Health Centre on November 8, 2020 at the age of 64.

Wagner: Kay was born on Sept 15, 1925, to William George Akehurst & Eileen (nee Shilito) Akehurst, at Paygate Cottage, Ringmer, Sussex England. In 1928 a brother, Arthur George joined the family. Bette Lynne Williams Brewer (72) passed away with family by her side at the Souris Hospital on June 11, 2018. Bette was born September 22, 1945 in Brandon and was the chosen daughter of the late Charles and Mae Williams. She was predeceased by her brother Dale Williams and her husband Russ McLeod.
Bette grew up on the family farm and later moved to Brandon where she worked for Binkley Motors before travelling to Winnipeg where she furthered her education and became a Licensed Practical
Watson, Cecil Arthur “Art” of Souris Manitoba, husband of the late Doreen Watson passed away on September 18, 2017 at the Personal Care Home Souris, Manitoba. Art was born at Elgin, Manitoba to Bill & Eliza Watson December 29, 1933. In 1942, Art moved to Souris with his family, he and his mother stayed at a boarding house while his Dad served in the Air Force. While attending school Art worked at Pollock’s Groceries stocking shelves and making deliveries. Art recalled a story while
White: Frederick Edgerton White was born on June 22,1932 in Souris, Manitoba, to Gordon and Luella White of Hartney, Manitoba. Fred passed away on March 17, 2017 in his 85th year. He grew up primarily on the family farm east of Hartney and also spent some time in Dauphin. He has one sister, Janice McBrien (Bill) of Hartney.

Ivy Edith Watkin – Born July 7,1921 in a sleepy little town of Seabright, Nova Scotia to Barrington and Elizabeth (Boutilier) Sparrow. Moved to Brandon, Manitoba wher she lived and prospered with her family and her 5 siblings, Olive, Hazelet, Doug, Laura and Eric (who is the only living Sparrow to date and who currentley resides in Camrose, Alberta). Lee Anne and her family are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, co-workers, and the people of the Town of Souris.
This sudden loss has created a huge void in their lives. We all took it for granted that John would be here for many years to see his children grow, and to retire with Lee Anne in their chosen home of Souris.
John was born in North Bay, Ontario, and lived in various towns in Ontario. John was very
