Ralph Whitfield, beloved husband, brother, Dad and Papa, passed away on March 4, 2026 at the Souris Personal Care Home with loved ones by his side. Ralph leaves behind his family who love him dearly, and a legacy of community service. Ralph’s life was defined by an unwavering commitment to the progress of Souris and Glenwood, and the well-being of those around him.

Larry, 65 years, beloved brother of Brent, Delbert and Ron. Larry passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on March 1, 2026. In keeping with Larry’s wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. In memory of Larry, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Alice Rose Winslow (née Shantz), age 97, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by friends and family.
She is survived by her son Scott (Amber) and two grandsons Ben and Tommy (Judith), who were her pride and joy, along with their mother Sylvie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Violet Shantz, her husband Charles Winslow, and siblings Loretta, Verna, Vernon, and Darlene.

Leonard Waldner, 68, of Souris, Manitoba, passed away peacefully with family by his side on October 13, 2025.
Leonard was born on October 31, 1956, in Portage la Prairie, and was raised in a Hutterite colony. The second youngest of ten children, he was spirited and adventurous, eventually leaving the colony to explore the outside world.
In 1978, Leonard married Margaret (née Stahl), and they built a life together, raising

He spent the majority of his life living on the land farming and growing a large garden that fed himself and whoever else between Souris and Gladstone needed potatoes.
