To Rod & Shirley, Sandra & Ron and families: Chuck was always a very cheerful fellow and made a concerted effort to come to family gatherings. My last best memory was when Mom (Carole) was celebrating her 80th birthday at the Lions Manor. Chuck with camera in hand, was getting all kinds of impromptu shots. He was loved and we will miss him.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Draper family. So sorry to hear of Chuck’s death. Our second death of the first cousins. Hard to believe
We were so sorry to hear of Winston’s sudden passing. May your find solace and joy in your memories of him.
I knew Chuck from our teenage years. In our early 20’s when were room mates in several Winnipeg houses. Our paths crossed several times when we both lived in B.C. In recent years we “kept track” of Chuck via Don Reilly who is my wife’s brother.
We are very saddened to here of his passing. We offer our condolences to the family.

We were so sad to hear of Chucks death this week we have known Chuck for many years. Chuck worked with Dennis in Brandon. I too worked in Brandon at this time and this was where we all met. I think it was 1968.Dennis and I were married in 1970 and Chuck was a member of our wedding party.although we did not see each other often it was always a special time when we got together. Chuck always had a dream. His wealth of knowledge was incredible. We would like to extend our condolences to his family, they have lost a good man.Rest in peace Chuck.

Melissa, Rod, and Sandra,
You may not remember me, Chuck and I shared our lives for four years in Lethbridge and Kimberley. I was shocked to hear of his sudden passing; in this day and age 72 is far to young. Please accept my sympathy and condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It was yesterday, July 24, that I learned of Chuck’s death. I only met him once, a year ago while visiting my brother in Elphinstone, who was Chuck’s friend. He took me to meet Chuck and to see the house and yard development that he was working on. Being a civil engineer myself, I could appreciate the landscaping and irrigation system that he had installed. As well, he obviously he knew a lot about plant life, having built a green house of sorts, in which he started his own seedlings. I had hoped to revisit him again this summer.
I understand he created the Elphinstone Facebook which serves to bring former and current residents in touch with one another. He was a multi talented individual to be admired and his death is a loss, not only to his family, but to the Elphinstone community as well.
Len Domaschuk, former resident of Elphinstone, now living in West Kelowna BC
So sad to hear the news about Chuck – a fellow that one never forgets.
I have fond memories of the Winnipeg ‘days’ when we were all young and loved to party; of Chuck and Diane’s wedding in Calgary – still smiling about the ball and chain; and the last visit with Chuck when he stopped in to chat when we lived in Canmore.
My condolences in your loss. May happy memories of all your wonderful times with him help you through this sad time.
