Blair passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side, at the Redvers Health Centre, on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the age of 54 years. Blair was born, March 7, 1968, in Virden, Manitoba to parents, Gustaf and Evelyn Kabbeke (nee Smith).
Blair’s early years were spent on the farm in Sinclair, Manitoba where he enjoyed helping his dad on the farm, spending hours with his horses and playing baseball. Blair attended elementary and junior high school in Sinclair and Reston, MB

At the Souris Health Centre, August 9, 2022, Shirley Joyce Brown, aged 71 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Shirley was born November 27, 1950 in Brandon Manitoba to parents Nick and Helen Dunetz (nee Gumieny). Nick passed in 1962 and Helen married Matt Sidlar in 1965 and became Shirley’s beloved step father.

David Eastman, second son of Joan and Everett Eastman of Hartney, Manitoba passed away on March 6, 2020 in Surrey, BC with his three children Danny, Erin and Neil by his side. Mom was born on July 21st, 1928 in Hartney Manitoba at Mrs. Forbes’s nursing home.
She lived on the farm at Melgund Manitoba and went to Melgund School across the road until she was 16. She attended Hartney School until she graduated from grade 12. After graduating, she went to Brandon Business College for 6 months. She wanted to go to nursing school, however it was too expensive to go.

Gordon Powell, beloved husband of the late Noreen (Kitchen) Powell, father of Terry, Brenda, Sandra, Rhonda and Brian, passed away peacefuly in his sleep in Strathmore, Alberta on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the age of 88.
He was born in Souris in 1934 to L.B. “Chappie” Powell and Hattie (Rose) Powell, the second of their two sons. He is predeceased by his wife Noreen, father Chappie, mother Hattie, brother Lyle and grand daughter Kristin Knodel.
