Helen Ether Fallis – It is with great sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, and aunt Helen Ethel Fallis, on October 18, 2016, at the age of 61. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Blaine, son Brad (Marie) and two grandchildren Ethan and Jacob, sister Verla (Chris), in-laws Joan (Ron), and Garry (Karen), along with all of their children and grandchildren and Helen’s close friends.

Rene Fortin was born on January 18, 1929 to Napoleon and Flore Trudel-Fortin in Dry River, Manitoba. In time he was joined by his sister Doris and brothers Roger and Donald. The family settled on a farm near Baldur. In 1951, Rene married Simone Liban and welcomed their first son, Ron. They then moved to a farm in the Elgin area where they grew to a family of six. Henry “Harry” Woodhull Forrest
On Dec 28, 2013 Harry Forrest passed away at the Souris Personal Care Home at the age of 97 years. Born in Souris on April 16th, 1916 Harry lived his entire life in Souris except for his service with Royal Canadian Air Force during WW II. The youngest child of a family of six, Harry had five older sisters: Kate, Mary, Grace, Margaret and Helen all of whom have predeceased him, as have his parents, Samuel Henry “SH” Forrest and Grace Helena Woodhull.
