Carol passed away peacefully with family by her side in the Souris Health Centre on November 8, 2025 at the age of 72 years. Carol is the beloved wife of Don Kohut, mother of Bridget and Donna, stepmother of Michael (Kelly), Jeff and the late Steven, grandmother of Brandy, Dawn, Brendan, Jadin, Jeremy, Jaxson and Jessie.

Dad was born on December 8, 1930 at the family farm, in the same room that his own dad was born. He passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025 with family by his side. October 8 was also his parent’s anniversary.

Jim, 87 years, beloved husband of the late Myrt Refvik, father of Coralee, Mitchell and the late Kurt. Jim passed away at the Souris Personal Care Home on September 21, 2025. William George (Bill) Lawson was born on January 8, 1946 to Bob and Margaret Lawson in Carman Manitoba. Bill grew up at Maple Grove Farm northeast of Miami, Manitoba with his sister Donna and brothers Ray and Doug.

Reta Janet Cowan 1932-2025
Reta passed away at Hartney Community Health Centre on September 14, 2025. Reta was predeceased by her husband Art, her brother Lorne, and her daughter Kay. Ernie was the twelfth child (sixth son) out of thirteen children born to Katharina and Heinrich Janzen. He was born on July 1, 1943 in St. Rose, Manitoba.
He accepted the Lord as his saviour at about age six. This love for Jesus continued to grow throughout his entire life. The Janzens were a very musical family, and they were always singing hymns and songs together.
