Leskiw – Ernest Peter, 82 years, beloved husband of Annette Leskiw, father of Robert, and the late Dan in 1997 and the late John in 2015, passed away in the Souris Personal Care Home on Monday, April 10, 2017. Karen Stewart (nee: Schultz), a loving wife, mother and Nana, died unexpectedly on April 7th, 2017 at the age of 61 in her home in Hartney, Manitoba. Karen is survived by her husband Wilf; her children Christopher, Michael and Caitlin, daughter in law Kim, grandchildren Deegan, Mckaela and Katie, and her brother Allan. Tymkiw – Suzy, 48 years, beloved mother of Nicholas, Dallas and Stephanie, passed away in the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, April 2, 2017. A service to celebrate Suzy’s life was held at Kowalchuk’s Funeral Chapel, Souris, Manitoba on Saturday, April 8, 2017. In memory of Suzy, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
Dooley, Joan
Dooley –Frances Joan Dooley (nee Denbow) born in Deleau, Manitoba on November 1, 1934, widow of John Hyacinth Dooley. Daughter of Andrew and Harriet Denbow passed away peacefully at the Souris Personal Care Home.
Survived by sons: Frank (Sandy), Doug (Marilyn) and Will (Sharla). Grandchildren: Chris (Dessa), Jason (Ashley), David, Taylor, Kellen and Kensie Great grandchildren: Peter, Coral, Kaleb, Lochlainn.
John and Joan were married May 9, 1958 and resided in Souris.

Olmsted, Irene Mary
Olmsted: Irene Mary (Abrey), passed away peacefully on March 22, 2017 at the Hartney Community Health Centre at the age of 96 years. Irene was born December 22, 1920 to Olive (Saban) and Fred Abrey, the youngest of four children. She received her education at Deleau School, then St. Boniface School of Nursing, graduating July 27, 1942 with her RN. She nursed in Winnipeg, Carberry, Brandon and other rural hospitals.
Irene married Wellington (Wally) George Olmsted in 1944. Their only child,
White, Frederick Edgerton
White: Frederick Edgerton White was born on June 22,1932 in Souris, Manitoba, to Gordon and Luella White of Hartney, Manitoba. Fred passed away on March 17, 2017 in his 85th year. He grew up primarily on the family farm east of Hartney and also spent some time in Dauphin. He has one sister, Janice McBrien (Bill) of Hartney.
Fred married Marion (Rae) of Napinka, Manitoba, on December 28, 1953. Of this union came four children, 8 granddaughters, 4 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren,

Beverly Wayne Bowles of Souris, Manitoba passed away at Souris Hospital on February 24, 2017. Wayne was born in Souris on November 14, 1938 to Allen and Reita Bowles. Wayne grew up on the family farm in the Riverview School District. He completed his schooling in the Souris School. At a very young age, he exhibited a love of animals and nature.
