Mahy: Maurice Mahy passed away peacefully on June 26, 2020. Left to cherish his memory is Marie, his wife of 64 years and children Marion, David (Val), Joe (Michelle) along with seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jean and fifteen brothers- and sisters-in-law.
He was predeceased by son Edward and son-in-law Brian.
Maurice and Marie were married in 1955 and raised the family on their farm in the Maple Hill area producing cattle, milking
Moore: Kenneth Arnold Moore 1948 – 2019
Ken passed away peacefully on Friday December 20, 2019 with family at his side at the Souris Personal Care Home. He was 71 years old.
Ken was born February 29th 1948, (one of a set of twins) in Glenboro, Manitoba.
Ken married Ardeth Templeton April 12th 1969. Together they raised four children while living in Brandon, dad began working for Bradley sand and gravel as a truck driver and loader operator and running the wash Plant. He continued to work

It is with heavy hearts that Linda’s family announces her passing on September 25, 2019 at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg surrounded by family after her short courageous health battle.

Matheson: David Maxwell Matheson, recently of Medicine Hat, Alberta, but long term resident of Souris, Manitoba passed away at the age of 89 years. He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Bev (Jay) Hitchen and Cindy Matheson, of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Val Matheson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, four grand-children Steve (Amy) Hitchen, Koby (Claire) Hitchen of Edmonton, Alberta, Breanna (Tomas) Kulczycki of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Brayden Hall of Anola, Manitoba. McBURNEY: Spencer Lloyd was born at the Souris Hospital on September 22, 1961 to William (Bill) and Margaret McBurney and passed from this life, July 1, 2019. He grew up on the family farm south of Elgin and took his schooling at Elgin Elementary and Hartney High Schools, where he graduated in 1979. He was always an excellent student and well liked by his teachers and peers.
Being so adept at his books and numbers, he landed his first job at Manitoba Health in the payroll department in October
McArthur: Chuck McArthur passed away March 28, 2019 at Souris Hospital.
Chuck was born in Birtle, Manitoba in 1941. He received his grade 12 education in Birtle, and then went onto university of North Dakota where he received his teaching degree.
In 1965 he married Linda Peeler of Birtle, Manitoba.
In 1966 they moved to Souris where they raised Two daughters: Jennifer and Jill.
He spent his 30 year teaching career at Souris collegiate. During his career he coached many school sports and hockey.

McGowan: Gord, June 19, 1947 – November 19, 2018. Gord and Diane were owner operators of G & D Roofing from 1979 until 1990. During this time, they also became owners of the Video Garage and operated it from 1984 to 2001. It started as a game arcade with movie rentals, convenience store and takeout pizza, along with a bus depot. In 1990, they converted it to a restaurant and convenience store, retaining the bus depot. Gord ran Southwest Bus line starting in 1984.
Menard: Albert, 70 years, beloved husband of the late Juliette Menard, father of Cindy, Leonie, Gerald, Shawn and Jamie, passed away in the Souris Health Centre on Friday, August 17, 2018. A private family funeral service was held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Albert, donations may be made to the Lupus Society of Manitoba.
