Iris Matilda Perrin (nee Clark) September 28, 1922 – September 16, 2024
It is with sadness and much love that the family announces the passing of Iris Matilda Perrin, just 12 days shy of her 102nd birthday. She was a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother & friend.

Darcy, 64 years, beloved husband of Jennifer Zilkey. Darcy passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on September 3, 2024. A memorial reception for family and friends was held at the Souris Legion on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Private interment in the Oak Lake Cemetery. Kowalchuk, Eugene
Eugene Kowalchuk, beloved Father, Dido and Great Dido, passed away peacefully late Saturday afternoon of August 24, 2024, in Souris Health Centre, surrounded by many of his family. Eugene was in his 95th year of life.
Left to mourn his loss and celebrate his life well lived are his children; Debra Bastone, Kelly (Charlene), Dallas Kuhr, Kendall (Marilyn), Kimberlee (Jonathon) Morgan, Derek (Fatimah), Damon, Dexter (Val), Kent (Roxanna), Kelvin (Tracy), Darwin (Bonita), and Krista (Derek)
Bartley, Harvey Warren
Bartley, Harvey Warren passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Rideau Park Personal Care Home. Harvey was predeceased by his parents Roy and Beryl Bartley of Souris, Manitoba. Harvey was the eldest child of 3 sons.
Leaving to mourn his passing are his 2 daughters: Carla (Wally), Grand daughters Bryanna and Rylee McRuer

Young, Maureen Patience
Maureen Patience (Either) Young:
Peacefully on August 19, 2024 Maureen lost her short battle with acute leukemia at the Souris Health Centre at the age of 77 years. She is predeceased by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Young, mother Betty McLean, father Earnest Either, brothers Norman and Peter. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Clayton) and grandson Logan; Roberta (Jayson) granddaughters Gracian and Sydney and grandson Angus; and brother David.
Maureen was born in Port Alberni, B.C.
Mahy, Marie Therese
Marie Mahy September 17, 1937 – August 16, 2024
Marie was the middle child of 11 born to Henriette and Frank Dooley. They lived in the Grande Clairiere area and she went to Grand Clairiere school. She married Maurice one week after her 18th birthday and Edward was born 10 months later. Marion, David and Joseph would follow. Four children by age 26! They farmed south of Maple Hill. They had no telephone or running water at the time. She provided a wonderful home for her family.

Arnold, 64 years, beloved husband of Diana Paddock, stepdad of Nazaire and Mikyle. Arnold passed away at the Souris Health Centre on August 16, 2024. A funeral service was held at St. Paul’s United Church, Souris, on Friday, August 23, 2024. Interment in the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery. Belbas, Janet
Janet, 88 years, beloved wife of the late Walter Belbas, mother of David and Leslie, grandmother of Delaney and Morgan. Janet passed away at the Souris Personal Care Home on August 11, 2024. In keeping with Janet’s wishes a private graveside service will be held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery at a later date. Maguire, Carole Alma
Carole Alma Maguire (Fraser) was born to William Thomas and Mary Irene Fraser in Binscarth, Manitoba December 4, 1934. The family moved to Waskada, Manitoba where she would reside with her two older brothers Bill and Gordon. She was very musical and excelled at the piano so was soon asked to play in her brother Bill’s band. After high school she went to Normal school in Winnipeg where she earned her teachers certificate. Her first job posting was in the Elgin School teaching Grades
