Marion Edith (Rae) White was born on June 17, 1933 to James and Esther (Bowden) Rae of Arcola, SK and moved to Napinka, Manitoba in 1949.
Marion attended school in Arcola, SK and Napinka, Manitoba and after leaving school in 1950 she became a telephone switch board operator for MTS in Hartney, MB.
On December 28, 1953, Marion married Frederick White of Hartney, Manitoba. They moved to Hay River, NWT where they lived for 13.5 years. They had four children; Dennis, Darrell, Gordon and Janice.

Bill (William) Tanguay passed away on March 17, 2022 in Souris after a brief illness. Bill is survived by his loving wife Betty (Elizabeth), two children Jennifer (Lee) and Chris, his brother Dennis (Cheryl), his sisters Mary Ann and Pat (George), his sisters-in-law Val and Donna, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill lived his entire life in Souris. He and his brother Dennis ran a successful business in town for over 40 years before retiring. Bill was an active member of the Souris community.
McKenzie: Edith Williamene (Willie) McKenzie (nee Cooper) age 81 of Souris, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 7, 2022. Anita Violet (Atkinson) Thomas passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on March 2, 2022. She was born December 29, 1923, in the Whitewater District, to Harrel and Elizabeth (Troop) Atkinson. Anita was the 5th child, and the first daughter to join the family. When Anita was still an infant, they moved to the Melgund District. She went to school in Melgund and Hartney, finishing Grade 12 by correspondence as this grade was not available in Hartney. Swaenepoel: Linden, 32 years, beloved husband of Jai, father of Rhys, Clay and Esme, son of David and Linda, brother of Lindsay, passed away after a short battle with cancer at the Souris Health Centre on February 15, 2022. A celebration of Linden’s life was held at the Souris & Glenwood Community Hall on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Dad, being the organized person he was sent me an email in 2019 of suggestions for his obituary. He made sure to say in the subject line not to be alarmed as he was not planning on dieing any time soon! Of course I was relieved and forgot about it until after his death. I could have used it and in fact did use it originally but we all know of all his numerous accomplishments and awards so it just seemed too factual and not about the actual Dad Ferg Devins. Wrightson: Colby, 20 years, beloved son of Darla (Andrew) Wrightson and Jason (Tara) Wilkinson, also survived by his brothers and sisters, passed away accidently on Friday, February 11, 2022. A celebration of Colby’s life was held at the Souris & Glenwood Community Hall on Friday, March 11, 2022. In memory of Colby, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Sharon Lee Howell (O’Hearne) passed away on February 9,2022, at the young age of 71 after a brief fight with cancer in Souris Manitoba. With her only child Nicolle (Nikki)& son in-law Darryl Moreau by her side.
