Howe: Donald (Hoop) Leslie, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2018 at the age of 74 years.
He is survived by his wife Lana, stepson Grant (Lisa), grandchildren Chloe and Connor, stepson Gowan (Rosa) grandchildren Gowie and Adrian; sister Bev (Mike), brothers Lorie (Laura) and Gary (Shirley) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Don was predeceased by his parents Syd and Lena, sister Darlene, brothers Ken and Allen.
Don spent most of his life farming and working on farms in the Elgin area, except
Irene Bauman (Farrar)
After a short illness, Irene passed away May 12, 2018.
She was born in Eatonia, Saskatchewan in 1926 and lived there until her mother’s death in 1937. She moved to Montreal at that time living with her Aunt and Uncle. Her father continued his farming operations at Leader, Saskatchewan until his death in 1953.
Irene moved to Toronto to study and met Adin while there. They married in 1949 and moved to Winnipeg in 1950 and Irene continued her studies in Education.

Phyllis Crawford(Brown) passed away at the Souris Personal Care Home on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by husband Rae Crawford. She resided in Brandon for most of her life. Phyllis was a kind and caring person who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Left to mourn is; her sister Faith Cristall; daughter, Debra Gildea(Dennis); sons Douglas Bullee(Charlene) and Jack Bullee(Lisa),also Walter and Christine Andrews; her Step- Daughters, Barb Drewry(Dale),
Brandon: Isabel Ruth. April 12, 1944 – April 29, 2018. Daughter of the late Forrest and Doris (Reid) Brandon. She attended Souris School, graduating in 1963. Ruth went on to Winnipeg to school of Nursing, graduating in 1966. The north called and she was hired in Norway House where she worked for Indian Affairs. She returned to Winnipeg but soon moved to Vancouver and was employed by the Vancouver Police Department as a nurse for 30 years. Ruth returned to Souris upon retirement in 2000.
Bauche: Joe, 86 years, beloved husband of the late Lainy Bauche, father of Daniel Bauche, Diane (Larry) Winters and Denise (Michael) Robson. Grandfather of Johnathan Robson, Heather (Wayne) Nakonechny and their children Kenzie, Ava. A private family graveside service was held at the Deleau Cemetery. In memory of Joe, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Betle: Helen Marie Betle: March 12, 1938 – April 23, 2018 and Kenneth Garry Betle: June 17, 1938 – October 8, 2014, parents of Kirby Betle, Kim Driedger and Jamie Betle. Funeral service for Ken and Helen was held at Kowalchuk’s Funeral Chapel, Souris, Manitoba on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Interment in the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery. In memory of Ken and Helen, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or to a charity of your choice.
Lowe: It is with heavy hearts the family of William Roger Lowe are sadden to announce the peaceful passing of Roger on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the age of 86 years at the Assiniboine Centre, Brandon, Manitoba.
Roger is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Irene (Anderson) Lowe. Roger and Norma have four children: sons Paul, Alister, Murray; daughter Janice.
An interment took place at Rosewood Cemetery on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. The interment was followed by a memorial service to celebrate

On April 11, 2018 Wayne passed away suddenly at the age of 70 from a massive heart attack.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 55 years Linda, his 3 children Lisa, Kevin (Chana) and Kirk (Lisa) and his 6 grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as “Papa Wayne”, Dana, Taylor, Carter, Sarah, Kaden and Micah. Edgar was born on May 17, 1934 in Hartney, Manitoba, and was the eldest of 7 children. He went to Deleau school to Grade 10. He was very musical and taught himself to play the guitar. In his younger days, he travelled around playing at various social events. He inspired the love of music in his children and grandchildren that continues on today. Edgar also enjoyed curling in the winter and occasionally played ball in the summer.

Tony was born in Rosa Manitoba August 9, 1925 and passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 30, 2018 in the Souris Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Doherty) Kohut, whom he married in 1948, and brothers John, Bill, Harry, and Mike.
