Bette Lynne Williams Brewer (72) passed away with family by her side at the Souris Hospital on June 11, 2018. Bette was born September 22, 1945 in Brandon and was the chosen daughter of the late Charles and Mae Williams. She was predeceased by her brother Dale Williams and her husband Russ McLeod.
Bette grew up on the family farm and later moved to Brandon where she worked for Binkley Motors before travelling to Winnipeg where she furthered her education and became a Licensed Practical
Watson, Cecil Arthur “Art” of Souris Manitoba, husband of the late Doreen Watson passed away on September 18, 2017 at the Personal Care Home Souris, Manitoba. Art was born at Elgin, Manitoba to Bill & Eliza Watson December 29, 1933. In 1942, Art moved to Souris with his family, he and his mother stayed at a boarding house while his Dad served in the Air Force. Phyllis Williams, a long-time resident of the Souris area, died August 7, 2015 with her family at her side. Phyllis was born July 2, 1928 at Minitonas, Manitoba to Archie and Bea Janz. She was the youngest of their five children. She told us stories about helping her father on their farm and of the many childhood pranks she pulled with her sisters and brother.
