Eva Jane Hammond – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eva Jane Hammond on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She passed away at the Brandon Assiniboine Centre at the age of 85 with family by her side. Eva was born on April 1, 1931. She was the oldest child of Robert (Bob) and Dorothy (Dollie Flannery) Moore, sister of Evelyn (Jack King), Ken (Norma Hedstrom), Wilda (Bing Juckes) and Bill (Gail Reid) Moore.

William John Clair Brown – Passed away peacefully at Souris Personal Care Home on Saturday, January 7, 2017 with his wife Teresita by his side. Clair was born February 9, 1926 the eldest child of Stanley Arthur Brown and Jessie Grace Brown (Waterman) in Souris, Manitoba. He grew up in Souris living with his grandmother, Mrs. W.H. Brown. Roy Banks – It is with a deep sense of loss that the family of Roy Banks announces his passing on December 29, 2016 at the age of 87. Roy was born September 2, 1929, in Rotherham, Yorkshire, England, the youngest of a family of eight. At the age of 14 during the Second World War he left school to help with the war effort and was assigned to Aerodrome Bomber Command. Ruby Jasper (nee Abrey) – Ruby passed away peacefully on Christmas day, 2016 at her home at Hartney Personal Care Home, at the age of 97. Ruby was born at home January 16, 1919 to Fred Abrey and Olive Saban. She was the third of four children. Ruby married Clinton Jasper in 1939 and together they farmed a one section mixed farming operation. Here, also, very capably and with much love, they raised a family of eight children. Frances Maria Krasnesky – When Frances came to us she was a firecracker and has been ever since. There was something about this little lady that tugged at our heartstrings… she came to a strange place to live with people she didn’t know. She seemed to be so alone in the world it compelled us to take her under our wing and become her family. We quickly grew to love this quirky, loud, funny, exasperating lady.
Morden: Susan Lee, beloved mother of children John, Tim and Karen, passed away quickly on Friday, December 16, 2016 in her suite at Victoria Landing, Brandon, where she had resided since 2008.
