Reid — Muriel Eileen The family of Eileen Reid is sad to announce her passing on November 20, 2014, in the Souris Health Centre just three weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday with family and friends.
Eileen was born in the Huntingdon District on October 26, 1924, to Fred and Annie (Mote) Carlisle and moved to the Whitefield District at the age of five where she lived until she married Rilance Reid. They farmed the Reid family homestead west of Souris until retiring to town in 1984.

Murphy — Cecil (Ted) Edmunde, Ted Murphy was born on January 20, 1929 to Vida Jackson and Joseph Murphy. He was raised by his Grandma and Grandad Jackson on the same farm where he was born, west of Souris. At the age of 10, he moved to Winnipeg with his Dad and step-mother Mary. There he attended St. Paul’s and later West Kildonan Collegiate. At the age of 16 he left Winnipeg and headed west to Vancouver. He worked at various jobs until he found a regular position
Morton: Dorothy (Dot) Anne (nee Jennings) passed away peacefully at the Souris Health Centre on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the age of 76, after a brief illness with cancer. McEvoy, Albert Grant; It is with sad but grateful hearts that the family of Albert McEvoy announce his passing on September 16, 2014. Albert Grant was born August 15, 1925 on the farm at NE 20-10-21 Whitehead Municipality and passed away there as well. He was the only child of Acey and Sidney (Magee) McEvoy. As a child Angie lived in Brandon, Calgary and Basswood. As a young mom, Angie and her spouse Len raised their three children in Brandon, Calgary and Grand Prairie. A parting of their ways brought Angie back to Brandon where she met Jon, her spouse at the time of her passing. Jon and Angie were married and with
