Died May 19, 2013, Souris, Manitoba.It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Emily Turner. She passed away peacefully on May 19 at the Souris Personal Care Home. She was the first child born to her loving parents Grace and Gordon Hunter in 1925 at Kenton, MB.Emily was a life-long teacher, both in and outside of the classroom and was the first teacher at the Newdale Hutterite Colony

Whittingham — Elizabeth (Nee Miller) was born November 30, 1918 at Fairfax, Manitoba. Her family moved to Elgin in 1920 where Beth remained until 1999. Beth was employed by the telephone office and post office. In 1941 she married William Whittingham. Beth was active in the Anglican Church, Elgin Rebekah Lodge and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Harkness, Thelma Irene (nee Mote), passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Souris Personal Care Home. At 16 months of age she came to Manitoba with her family and lived her entire life in the Souris area. She married Bob Harkness January 12, 1938 and together they raised 2 children. BOORMAN: Isabella Mable, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 10, 2013 at the Souris District Hospital in her 86th year. She was best known as Isabel, Issy or Aunty Belle to countless nieces and nephews. Born on May 22, 1927 to John and Lydia Denbow, and she always felt truly blessed to have eleven siblings, ten brothers and one sister. She was second youngest. Eisler: Nellie Eisler passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Souris Personal Care Home at the age of 97. Nellie was born November 10, 1915, fourth child of Nick and Pearl Baduik. She married John Eisler December 2, 1936 and together they raised four daughters. John and Nellie farmed in the Lily District and retired to Souris in 1957. Nellie was a caregiver all her life, caring for John’s parents and then John until his passing in 1973.

Hardy, Pauline passed away peacefully March 25, 2013 at the Hartney Health Center. Pauline was born December 25, 1914 and was the daughter of George Gartner and Elizabeth Stang of Primate, Saskatchewan. Her Mother died when she was two and one-half years old. She came to Hartney in 1939 and was a cook at the Hartney Hotel with Sam McBride. In 1941 she married John Gibson, son of George and Kate. MASON, Mabel (nee Gudbranson), beloved wife of Charlie passed away suddenly at her home on March 8, 2013. Mabel was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba to John and Lillian Gudbranson. Mabel was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Jack, Gerald, Mae, Sarah, Gilbert and Thelma. Her sisters Emma and Alma reside in Rivers.
